We’re proud to announce our new partnership with Wallasey Cricket Club, a beacon of The Wirral’s community spirit in and around Wallasey for over 160 years.
Founded way back in 1864, Wallasey Cricket Club is one of the founding members of the Liverpool and District Cricket Competition – and one of the few clubs in the country to sustain four senior teams in Premier Leagues today.
With 375 members spanning ages 5 to 70+ – including 150 juniors and a women’s section that’s grown from zero to 45+ in just five years – the club is thriving. The challenge now is ensuring facilities keep pace with this growth. From upgrading the historic clubhouse infrastructure to building dedicated women’s changing rooms, investment is needed to support this flourishing community hub for generations to come.
From pixels to wickets
So, as a proud Wirral-based digital marketing agency, the Phantom Digital team are rolling up our sleeves to boost their fundraising efforts and help them achieve their commercial potential through sponsorships.
Our partnership unlocks the opportunity to maximise the club’s existing community reach, while also exploring new revenue streams to fund important cricket and clubhouse facilities that members and their families deserve.
For us, this is about paying it forward and doing what we can to secure the club’s next 160 years, benefiting thousands of people in the local community, championing physical activity, social inclusion, and community spirit.
How we – and you – can help
First, we’ll be building a brand new Wallasey Cricket Club website (watch this space), as well as helping them improve their social media engagement across their 5,600+ followers and supporters.
The club has already begun an exciting transformation through a partnership with Wirral Met College, with apprentice tradespeople renovating the kitchen and bar areas. Phantom Digital will support ongoing fundraising efforts for these priority improvements:
- Heavy roller repair/replacement for pitch maintenance
- Electrical repairs to the historic clubhouse
- Dedicated women’s changing facilities for the club’s growing women’s section (45+ members)
- Enhanced disabled access
- Ongoing facility improvements
And this is where we start – if you, or someone you know, can provide resources, fundraising support, or skilled labour to help in any way, we want to hear from you.
Wallasey Cricket Club has a long and illustrious past, boasting many cricketing achievements including being crowned Liverpool Competition Premier League Winners in 2022 – and with us all pulling in the same direction, it can look forward to an exciting and prosperous future too.
Here’s to knocking it out of the park!
