Getting creative at Liverpool Book Festival

We were thrilled to be invited as the media partner for the inaugural Liverpool Book Festival on Sunday 7th September 2025. We really enjoyed the day – and captured some amazing pictures. So, we thought we’d share some of the pictures and videos from the event.

Hosted by our Local PR Partner, La Vida Liverpool, the event was held at Invisible Wind Factory and brought together an impressive selection of literary talent. Over 60 authors attended, selling their books directly to readers and creating personal connections through conversations and book signings.

Celebrity special guests added star power to the event, with appearances from broadcasting legend Billy Butler, comedy icon Stan Boardman, and the Lord Mayor of Liverpool Barbara Murray among many others.

There were free workshops, live music, street food and artisan stalls with something for everyone. The main stage was a hub of activity throughout the day, hosting Q&A sessions with notable literary figures including Sunday Times bestseller Caroline Corcoran and acclaimed horror novelist Ramsey Campbell.

Organiser Justin Hopper from La Vida Liverpool said: “I am absolutely thrilled about how well the inaugural Liverpool Book Festival went! We had over 1,000 book lovers attend on the day and an array of literary talent on display showcasing their books — as well as many traders, food vendors, workshop facilitators and musicians.”

Justin continued: “The feedback has been incredible from attendees, authors and traders and there will most definitely be more. There’s clearly a demand to connect book lovers with local authors — bypassing the huge online platforms where it’s tough to get seen. Keep your eyes peeled for another Liverpool Book Festival soon!”

As the event’s content creators, we enjoyed getting stuck into creating stories and memorable moments on film and camera – including a few interviews from presenters and attendees alike.

“I’m really glad we’ve had the opportunity to contribute to the Liverpool Book Festival in a meaningful way. While the Phantom Digital team work primarily online, we’re all keen readers, and recognise the value and enjoy the opportunity of chilling out with a good book.”
– Justine Mclaughlin, Phantom Digital MD

Impressively, the festival committed to donating 20% of ticket sales to worthy literary causes, Builder Book and Inspiring Minds CIC. These organisations work to bridge gaps in education and support parents raising neurodivergent children.

Now, without further ado, here’s some of the sights and sounds from the festival…
